Slashed type of pots have at least four vertical slots up the sides allowing for more positive air circulation and water drainage, yet the narrow width of the slots are such that the potting media cannot fall out.
The two main sizes are called "Azalea" and "Standard".
The "Azalea" style is the shorter or more shallow of the two. Where listed we also have "Bulb Pan" pots which are even shorter than the "Azalea".
